It's located in a fairly forbidding Soviet era building, but in this case the 'never judge a book by its cover maxim' (or never judge a building by its facade) is very much the case. The new owners of Metropol have given the place a thorough make-over, and you'll now get comfortable accommodation for very reasonable prices. Location is bang central - ideal for businessmen or travellers. Rooms are not in short supply - Metropol has a whopping 192 to choose from, comprising of singles, doubles and suites.
"Indeed, the outside is nothing special but the rooms themselves are quite nice, and the price was good for the location and standard."

"Perfectly adequate hotel in the city centre. The room was pretty small but comfortable and the rates were good for Warsaw"

"Ugly building from outside but inside rooms are clean and reasonable. Price is also reasonable and one cannot be closer to the centre of town than this, although it is not the most pretty part of the city and it is quite loud at night."

"Very nice rooms, we had a spacious double and it was all the room we needed. The restaurant is decent, with a great breakfast selection. All in all, I recommend the Hotel Metropol!"

"Great location! If you get a weekend discount for $ 62.00 per night it's a good deal. Be advised the single room beds are just that - for singles only! Welcome to the days of the Worker's Paradise! Jazz Bar seems more like a coffe shop. Best reason to stay here is for the breakfast buffet - very good!"
