Napolean's Inn on the East Side of the Vistula has seen more than its fair share of action. Originally little more than a wooden shack on the roadside for weary peddlers to rest their feet in, the inn has been embroiled in more than one or two scraps, as raiding soldiers frequently pillaged and set fire to the outskirts of Warsaw. After one such incident the building was reconstructed using brick in 1823 and still retains something of its original design - although on a far grander scale. Nowadays extravagant dining rooms, luxury suites and marble floors you can see your face in, are all par for the course.
