Galeria Centrum

Ladies have been known to disappear in Galeria Centrum. But don't worry, there's nothing sinister at work (the ladies invariably reemerge, albeit laden with the odd bag or two). Galeria Centrum boasts a cornucopia of goodies under one roof, from accessories and clothes to beauty care products. Blokes can even buy themselves a decent three piece suit, and for a ridiculously reasonable price. The shopping centre also boasts some collectible odds and ends for the home, with everything from quirky coffee mugs to calendars. This branch can be found just round the corner from the Batmanesque Palace of Culture and Science.

Excellent shopping centre in the centre of the city next to the central train station. You can really buy everything you need here, and there is a cinema and lots of places to eat.

Galeria was the best shopping experience. Have a place nearby and it was one of my favourite places to visit everytime I went to Warsaw.
Unfortunately it is now closed down and the whole place will be M&S. Unbelievable.
Certainly will be missed. probably closed down due to there being so much competition, especially with Zlote Terasy opening. I imagine the city rent i sky high too as its a premium location.

Love the shop but only on the inside. Time to refurbish the outside ! Upper parts - especially the front facade. Looks very sad and dowdy greish last time I looked i.e. March 2010. Not very inviting and in sucha prime location - in the smack of the city so it needs some revamping to look atractive and eye drawing to all especially those who haven't been in there. And also why have M & S on the ground floor ? Were they the only ones to afford the grd floor rent ? You are passing by and what do you see ? Cheapie M&S t-shirts ? Why not keep the cosmetic counters and the first thing you see is Chanel perfums ! Very inviting for all ! M & S not exactly overpopular as a retail player in the UK and in Warsaw ? Surely us Polish girls have a better taste. Very sorry if I am simplifying things ! Wish I could win the lottery and take care of the place myself. Ha hi.

The on in Krakow is closing down! Is it a company-wide problem? Is the one in Warsaw still open?

Galeria Centrum has got very helpful staff, a seven day no quibble returns policy (rare in Poland)and good discounts at sales time but they still manage to give the impression that things are not going well in the world of retail.
