Warszawa Centralna

You guys have never seen the central train station in Sofia, Bulgaria, it is waaaaay worse than the Polish one, however that doesn't make the city less exciting...:)

Klub Dialogu

I recommend Klub Dialogu to anyone wishing to learn Polish. I like their methods and styles of teaching. Also my classes size is perfect, usually 3 to 4 students!

Warsaw Airport

When you arrive at the airport resist any offers of a taxi that you receive inside the terminal. Use a taxi from the taxi rank instead, from my experience it will be half the price or even less. If you get the 175 or any other bus into the city centre make sure you keep aware of your wallet and passport as there are often pick pockets at work. It is best to sit down and keep you case/bag in front of you and be aware of who is around you.

LIM Medical Center

If you are in Warsaw and need medical attention this is the place to go. It's in the Marriott hotel building. You find the whole set up very efficient and well run and clean and tidy. For example I have had a health check there for about £50. This involved a single blood sample being taken one day, and then the results available for the following day in print out giving the results of a wide range of tests. In the UK, you would struggle to convince the doctor why you wanted such a check, and have to go through several visits to get the sample taken and then finally get the results - and even then they probably wouldn't give you the results on a print out.

Warszawa Centralna

Ok this station may not look the nicest, but I find it very functional, easy to get tickets, easy to see where your train is leaving from and at what time. Also you get the benefit of the labyrinth of tunnels that are underneath the station and surrounding streets that are full of cafes, shops, internet cafes, book shops etc. My first impression when I visited a few years ago, was that it felt unsafe, but once you have been there a few times you realise it is just as safe as any station in the UK - maybe even safer.

Warsaw Airport

The new terminal is huge, so make sure you arrive with plenty of time. If you're flying from the old terminal, though, prepare for massive queues!

Enel-Med

Went for a check-up here and paid far, far less than I would in the States without insurance. Doctor was friendly too, though we had a few miscommunications, mostly due to my lack of medical terms in Polish. Overall, recommended!
