Sluzewiec Racetrack

|
With no cover charge for entry, not even to the grandstand or clubhouse, Sluzewiec Racetrack comes as something of a shock to punters used to the smart and expensive racecourses of Western Europe, but its a fun day out that you're unlikely to forget. A beautifully-maintained race track jars with the rather dingy and grubby clubhouse, but for both racing afficionados and the less serious of us, Sluzewiec offers a splendid break from the more serious cultural pursuits of Warsaw's town centre. Kick back with a couple of beers (or something stronger), have a good laugh trying to work out the form tables in the Polish programme, and tuck into some decent sausages from the concourse vendors. Marvellous. |
