Krzysztof Dzienniak, a well known social activist, has set out from Zgorzelec, a city on the Polish-German border, to Leverkusen – the headquarters of Bayer, the German pharmaceutical giant. Dzienniak wants to cover the distance on stilts.
He is hoping for a donation of 75 thousand euros for his walk. The sum would supplement a foundation helping sick children in Poland. Krzysztof Dzienniak has been the author of two other spectacular charity undertakings. He covered a distance of several thousand kilometers on roller skates to meet Bill Gates and travelled on a lawn mower to Poznan in the mid-west, to talk to Poland’s most accomplished businessman Jan Kulczyk. Dzienniak is also planning to open a modern rehabilitation center run by his own foundation. This will be the purpose of his visit to Ophrah Winfrey.
