Police in western Poland are looking for 50 fallow deer stolen from a farm run by a German citizen. The animals are grazing on a 25 hectare, fenced off field. The breeder, who did not count his deer since the end of July, have only now realized that a half of his 100 strong herd is missing. He put the value of the stolen deer at 100,000 zlotys, or about 50,000 US dollars. A spokesman for Gorzow police said it was their first case involving the theft of such a big number of livestock.
