Galeria SD will showcase the work of two Polish artists: Danuta Krol and Henryk Bakalarczyk-Gida.

Henryk Bakalarczyk-Gida is a member of the Union of Sculpture Artists, the International Biographical Association in Cambridge, as well as, founder of the Poznan International Federation Club KIWANIS. In 1976, he began his individual studies in sculpture, painting, and artistic smithery under the direction of his father, Professor Jan Bakalarczyk, a talented artist and lecturer at the Academy of Art in Poznan. Henryk Bakalarczyk-Gida believes in the motto “art belongs to life,” and his appreciation of the beauty of life radiates from each composition. Alongside the sculptures and paintings, unconventional interior design and landscape projects will also be presented.

Danuta Krol, a successful and well-known painter, has participated in a dozen various art exhibitions within the country and abroad. The majority of her work may be found in private collections in Poland, the United States, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and Holland – to name a few. She often donates her work for charitable efforts benefiting children, and recently helped with new renovations in Poznan. Her work communicates to the audience a unique and realistic portrayal of life with a touch of postimpressionism.

The exhibition will run until the 30th of September 2005, and the gallery is open daily from 11 AM to 8 PM.
