Andrzej Grubba, Poland’s most successful table tennis player of all time, has died at the age of 47 after an unsuccessful struggle against cancer.

His top sports achievements came in the late 1980 when he became triple world bronze medallist and won 11 medals of European Championships.

Andrzej Grubba represented Poland at 3 Olympic Games in Seoul, Barcelona and Atlanta. Over the past few years he was battling against cancer.
