The construction of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews will commence already in 2006. The government has approved a schedule till 2009, when the museum is expected to be completed. The state has earmarked 40 million zloties (roughly 10 million euros) from its budget, while the same amount has been declared by the Warsaw Mayor. The rest of the necessary funds are to come from donations made by Jews with Polish ancestry.
