The Polish police arrested Thursday a former police employee suspected of being involved in two bomb hoaxes which led to the shutdown and evacuation of the subway in the capital on Tuesday.

Police said that the man, 40, called a police station Tuesday, claiming to have planted bombs in subways, which would explode in fifteen minutes.

Police also affirmed that the suspect was involved in another bomb hoax against two large supermarkets here on Wednesday.

A telephone card that the man used led to his arrest.

Police did not disclose the motivation of the suspect, charged of deliberate threats, disturbing of public order and jeopardizing of people's health.
