Exorcists from all over the world have convened in the Jasna Gora shrine in the central Polish city of Czestochowa. The meeting is closed to the media, and no details have been revealed as to the nature of the encounter. The veil of secrecy surrounding the event is such that it is believed that no announcement will be published until after the meeting ends, perhaps at the close of the week.
The sweeping monastery of Jasna Gora (The Bright Mountain) is Poland's most sacred pilgrimage site. The fortified monastery is raised on a hill above the city of Czestochowa, and it played a crucial role in several major wars in Poland's tangled history. 'The Black Madonna' icon sees millions of pilgrims each year from across the world.
