Book Fair Opens

The 50th International Book Fair has opened in Warsaw to the sound of the Alpenhorn. Switzerland is the honorary guest of the event, which is attended by almost 600 publishers from 30 countries. The fair is the biggest meeting of writers, publishers and book readers in Central and Eastern Europe.

About 300 books about and by Pope John II are displayed within the framework of the fair.
