No Frills But Some Thrills

German no-frills airline DauAir offered their passengers some rather unusual entertainment on their virgin flight to Poland this Monday.

All seemed to be going swimmingly when the SAAB plane took off with its 33 passengers. However, things were not quite as they seemed. Polish airport authorities claimed that they had not been informed about the flight. Hence the pilot was obliged to take the scenic route to kill some time.

Appropriate documents were faxed to Poland and finally the plane crossed the border with an escort of Polish fighter planes.

DauAir will be flying to Poznan, western Poland, six times a week. There will also be a twice weekly service with an intermediate landing in Berlin. Tickets are only available on the internet.
