Crowded buses, horrible traffic jams, increasing trash.
This situation is already bothering many inhabitants of Rome, especially those living near the Vatican. They have serious difficulty getting to their residences due to the crowds of people. Certain store and restaurant managers have been forced to close shop because it is impossible to get to their locales by car.

However, the Italian consumer organization has calmed them down some. They estimate that with the in-flow of people Rome will draw in up to 250 million Euros. Anywhere from 2 to 5 million people are expected to travel to Rome this Friday for the funeral of Pope John Paul II.
