Free Skating Rink Now Open

After a slow start to winter, the weather has finally begun to cooperate for lovers of winter sports. There's one sport in particular that's easy to enjoy in Warsaw - ice skating.

The most popular skating rink in Warsaw is now open on the northern side of the Palace of Culture and Science on Plac Defilad right in the heart of the city. Entry to the skating rink is free, but it can get quite crowded, so try to visit during off-peak hours (such as weekdays) to enjoy your time to the fullest!

The Palace of Culture and Science ice rink is open 8am to 8pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 9pm Fridays to Sundays. Skate rental is available for 7 zloty per person for the first hour and 5 zloty for every subsequent hour.

The ice rink will be open until 15 March 2012.
