Warsaw Preps for New Years Celebrations
Warsaw is currently prepping the area of Plac Konstytucji for the biggest New Year's Eve party in the country. This annual public celebration draws thousands of revelers keen to witness the musical spectacle on the specially built stage on the central square in Warsaw.
This year's over twenty musical guests include Polish superstars such as: Kora, Maciej Malenczuk, Maryla Rodowicz, Dzem, Boys, Big Cyc, Golec uOrkiestra, and many more. Another musical highlight of the night will be the performance of many famous football songs in preparation for the EURO football championships, taking place in 2012 partly in Warsaw. Finally, a spectacular fireworks display will light up the night sky at midnight.
Warsaw's free New Year's Eve party, known in Polish as Sylwestrowa Moc Przebojow, will take place from 8pm to 2am on December 31st 2011 on Plac Konstytucji.
