Copernicus Centre Marks First Anniversary

Warsaw's Copernicus Science Centre has celebrated its first birthday, with over a million guests visiting the museum since its opening in autumn 2010. This adds up to roughly 4000 visitors a day - much higher than what the institution had expected. Other similar centres across Europe attract an estimated 400 000 - 500 000 visitors a year.

The Science Centre marked the occasion with special events, exclusive previews to upcoming exhibitions, and even a 120 kg birthday cake.

Stop by the Copernicus Science Centre, as well as its Heaves of Copernicus Planetarium, for yourself in Warsaw's Powisle district from Tuesday to Sunday.
