Euro 2012 Ticket Sales Begin
Registration for ticket sales has begun for the Euro 2012 championship, which will be held in Ukraine and Poland. Warsaw is one of the four Polish cities that will host the event, alongside Wroclaw, Poznan, and Gdansk. Several matches will take place in Warsaw, including the all-important opening match.
Marking the launch of ticket sales, UEFA president Michel Platini attended a ceremony in Warsaw where he handed over the first ticket to lucky Pole Pawel Michalczak of Tarczyn, a town near Warsaw.
The process of purchasing a ticket for the championship begins at uefa.com, the only official source for tickets. Throughout the entire month of March, registration will take place for those interested in particular games or teams. Due to overwhelming demand, tickets will be made available through a lottery amongst those registered which will take place later this year.
