The initial public offering (IPO) for Polmos Bialystok will be launched in the first half of next year. Poland’s deputy Treasury Minister, Dariusz Witkowski, announced yesterday (2 November) that the Treasury Minister plans to sell the vodka producer’s minority package and obtain a strategic investor for the company in the first six months of 2005.

Witkowski also said that the Treasury Minister plans to privatise Polmos Jozefow vodka maker in the near future. The company will be sold by the end of this year.

Last month, it was reported that French group Belvedere was looking to buy Bialystok. Belvedere is already Poland’s number one vodka producer, with 33% market share.
