Eurobasket, the biennial European basketball tournament is now underway across Poland. Warsaw is one of the seven cities across Poland to host the event, with matches taking place at the Hala Torwar between the countries in Group C (Great Britain, Serbia, Slovenia, and Spain). So far, Slovenia has gained the most points in the group racking up 4 points from winning both games played over the last two days.
Poland's Group C is playing matches in Wroclaw, where it is currently tied for top spot with Turkey. The group winners will move on to battle it out in Lodz and Bydgoszcz. The quarter- and semi- finals as well as the final itself will take place in Katowice from 17 to 20 September.
The Polish team, led by NBA star Marcin Gortat, appears to be in top form and has high hopes for an appearance in Katowice.
