Ferrari speeds into Warsaw
Italian automobile giant Ferrari is planning to introduce its line of luxury vehicles to Poland this autumn.
Last month, Polish businessman and former European Rally Championship driver Sobieslaw Zasada obtained an official licence allowing him to sell new Ferrari cars. The site for the showroom will appear on Nowy Swiat in Warsaw and is planned to begin operations between October and November of this year.
“In autumn 2011 or spring 2012, a second new showroom will open complete with a service garage,” Daniel Chwist, president of Ferrari Warsaw, told Polish business daily Puls Biznesu.
As a result of the global financial crisis the firm is keeping its ambitions modest for 2010. Ferrari hopes to sell between 10-15 cars next year in Poland. "We're already in negotiations with potential clients” Chwist said. “We're finalizing orders on the California and 612 Scaglietti models.”
