Starbucks Opens Today

Warsaw certainly doesn't suffer from a shortage of cafes, but those craving a bit of western-style java will be happy to hear that Poland's first Starbucks location is opening today.

Situated in a historic building at Nowy Swiat 62, this location of the international coffeehouse chain stretches out over 215 metres squared and can seat 46 coffee lovers. On offer are the expected espresso-based coffees along with American-style brewed coffee all made from the highest quality arabica beans. Starbucks is well-known for some less traditional drinks as well, like their blended Frappuccino- a refreshing drink to grab on a sunny day. The coffee chain is also a reliable choice for food offering a wide range of cakes, pastries, sandwiches and and salads.

The second location of Starbucks in Poland will open in Wroclaw on April 16th.

"Well, regardless of your feelings about American comsumerism, I have yet to find a better latte. In the end, it's what keeps me coming back. It may have become ubiquitously chic, but it still is the best."

"funny how the americans/burmudans see it totally differently from the Polish who are now driven by American consumerism. They still do the best Frappachino, like them or not"
