CNN has kicked off a special week of coverage devoted to Poland. "Eye on Poland: Country at the Crossroads" takes a team of top CNN reporters right across the country, from Gdansk on the Baltic to the former royal capital of Krakow.
"Poland's influence on the global stage is growing," the TV network enthuses. "A driving force in the new Europe with a skilled workforce spreading its influence beyond its borders and an economy increasingly attractive to foreign investors - Poland is making its mark."
Viewers can catch installments of "Eye on Poland" throughout the week, until Sunday 12th October. Only a few countries have been singled out in the "Eye On" series thus far (France, Russia, India, South Korea, China, South Africa, Brazil and Lebanon) and Polish cities have bought major advertising packages at CNN to tie in with the coverage.
Warsaw Life's very own Kasia Ostrowski - who is about to walk down the aisle this week - chatted to CNN about Poland's capital, before being whisked away to her fairy hairdresser for some last minute razzle-dazzle.
