British policemen have charged two adults in relation to the theft of possessions belonging to Polish football star Jerzy Dudek.
After returning from his holiday last week, Mr Dudek discovered that close to a hundred cherished items had been swiped from his Merseyside home. These included his 2005 Champions League-winning shirt, numerous medals and a porsche for good measure.
It has been a disappointing year for Mr.Dudek, who was dropped from Poland's World Cup Side earlier this year. The recovery of his football memorabilia may not remedy all his problems, but there is some small relief in that all the pieces have been salvaged.
Mr Dudek became a hero last year when his inventive saves against AC Milan won the match for Liverpool in the final of the Champions League. An elbow injury has since kept him more off the pitch than on.
