Mafia trial begins in Warsaw

The long awaited trial of 41 members of the notorious organized crime ring, known as the Pruszkow mafia, has begun in Warsaw. Its members, among them four infamous mafia bosses, are facing multiple charges of armed robberies, inciting to murder, drug and arms trafficking as well as car theft and fraud. Some of the accused are facing a lifetime behind bars. The trial started five years after the Central Bureau of Investigation crushed the backbone of the Pruszkow gang.
