Hungary's low-cost airline Wizz Air announced on Tuesday that it was voted for the second consecutive year as the best discount airline in Poland by pasazer.com, the country's leading travel portal.

According to a report by the Polish Aviation Authority, Wizz Air is Poland's largest discount and second-largest airline with a 12% total market share.

The next biggest airline has a 6% market share, Wizz Air cited the report as saying.

The 12% market share corresponds to a nearly threefold growth from the airline's 2004 market share and passenger number and compares with a share of 11% in the first half of 2005.

LOT remains the largest Polish airline with a market share of about 44%.
