3 In 4 Oppose War

72 percent of Poles want the country's mission in Iraq to terminate, shows a public opinion poll. The figure is slightly higher than a year ago, when it stood at 70%. At present 23% of Poles support this country's contingent's presence in Iraq. Poland has been in charge of a zone south of Baghdad since the beginning of the US-led operation in Iraq. The size of its contingent has been reduced to 900 troops and mission prolonged until the end of the year.
