Poland's Finance Ministry said the country would not be able to meet the fiscal requirements for adopting the euro before 2010.

In an update of its euro convergence program, released late Wednesday and to be submitted to Brussels, the ministry said Poland's government deficit would fall from the current 4.7 percent of gross domestic product to 3.8 percent in 2008.
