Hi Salem! Well, the 'incentive' I was talking about was if you had a Polish girlfriend, you'd really need to be able to speak Polish to earn her respect and the respect of her family - as well as your own self-respect. It's not really a case of exactly what words to learn - you will need all the basic vocabulary - please, thank you, asking for things etc. If you work hard at it, you will find that it is easier to understand than to speak it, so the learning curve goes in stages. Don't give up!
