Pierogarnia na Bednarskiej

Not the most extensive nor bizarre pierogi menu in Warsaw but the little critters are simply magnifique! The menu starts off with the common or garden 'Ruskie' variety of the species, rapidly moving up the evolutionary ladder through buckwheat, lentil, meat fillings and finally hits alien time with the pigs-lung pierogi! The menu also has a vegetarian section and one for people with a longing for something sweet wrapped up in their dough. Unpretentious country style cellar, the perfect place for devouring huge plates of these national treasures.

Pierogarnia na Bednarskiej

"Tried it because of the recommendation. Pierogi were excellent. As mentioned service and ordering system is a bit strange for foreigners, it involves ordering at a little counter, sitting down and waiting until what you ordered is shouted out, then you have to go collect it. Only difficult bit is understanding the orders they call out! Well worth the confusion though YYUUMMM! "

"I'm a big pierogi fan, especially the straightforward 'ruskie'. I think you would be hard pressed to find better pierogi. Believe me, they do vary considerably from restaurant to restaurant"
