Chlopskie Jadlo

|
Continuing on its success around Poland, the Chlopskie Jadlo chain of traditional Polish restaurants has found its second location in Warsaw. Lovers of all things rustic and unabashedly greasy and delicious will be in heaven. The menu reads like the index of a Polish cookbook meaning newbies will certainly go away properly educated. Try the pierogi ruskie (savoury dumplings with cheese and potato) or the zurek (sour rye soup) for a proper introduction to Polish peasant cuisine. Empty stomachs are recommended as dishes arrive in truly "famished peasant" portions! |

Authentic but mediocre food. The pierogi (dumplings) were a bit soggy, and the beef ribs were nicely cooked but of quite poor quality. The sampler of four soups was very nice and worth trying.
