Cukiernia A. Blikle

On a diet? Then this definitely isn't the place for you. Part of the sumptuous cafe of the same name, Cukiernia A.Blikle should be avoided by anyone hoping to lose a few pounds, but is an absolute must for any sweet tooths passing through town. The Blikle establishment has been in the business since 1869 and there's not much they don't know about the fine art of baking cakes. Just looking at the range of gateaux, pastries, tarts, doughnuts, and other tantalazing sweets is enough to make you feel slightly naughty - but the indulgence is nothing short of sheer pleasure! If savoury is more your thing then why not check out the equally superb Blikle delicatessen?

This is the most famous cafe in Warsaw. Well known for it's famous selection of cakes and drinks.
Me and my wife found the cakes to be top class, and the coffee/hot chocolate we drank was delicious, and served in fine style.
This is the closest you get to a Viennese cafe in Warsaw. It's always busy and a stylish place to go.
Because of the style and quality don't expect it to be cheap, but it's reasonable.

Your review is correct, this place isn't for those trying to watch their weight! The sweet stuff is absolutely great and the coffee isn't bad either. I didn't go to the one on Nowy Swiat but rather the one near Kabaty but I believe its a chain with a few locations.

Blikl serves excellent food, delicate fresh salads, wonderful deserts and has a good selection of beers. Younger members of the family will also not be disappointed. Blikl in Nowy Swiat is recommended.

This place is expensive period? There are alot of better bakeries and cafes in the Nowy Swiat area to eat at and in Warsaw at a fraction of the price. Service is awful and slow and we definitely do NOT recommend this place?

The most civilized eatery in Warsaw catering to the masses of people interested in a calm repose from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Bravo Blikle!

A Polish institution and a definite must-see while in Warsaw. The donuts (paczki) are to die for.......

w weekend kupilem tam pare ciastek. Rzeczywiscie kilka z nich doskonalych. Polecam trufle. Poza tym eklerki bardzo dobre ale niewyrozniajace sie. Paczki podobnie. Generalnie drogo, ale od czasu do czasu mozna sie przejsc. Za 5 ciastek zaplacilem 18 pln.

Ladies and gentlemen,

yesterday I bought some bread, a lot of cheese and salami in your delicatess-shop at ulica Nowy Swiat. I need to express my anger: I bought those things for an official dinner of the german embassy, and they ended up in the dust-bin, as one of the cheese, the salami and the bread were much too old! Exspecially if I think of the price I payed, that makes me more than angry. I can\'t recommend Blikle any more if I am asked where to by good food in Warsaw.
