This is one of your best options if you're looking for a venue that harks back to the olden days, and its location on the Old Town Square certainly adds to the appeal. A distincty fin-de-siecle decor sets the tone, with thick velvet curtains and plenty of tastefully chosen antiques. This is the kind of place that would have slotted into Boleslas Prus's nineteenth century novel 'The Doll'. As you might imagine, you'll have to pay correspondingly aristocratic prices. However, if you've got the cash its a reliable choice, with excellent traditional Polish cuisine. Popular with visiting dignitaries.

We all enjoyed the food. Definitely a restaurant to come back to! lovely decor as well. I would recommend it to anyone.

I have never seen such a bad service: waiters stupid and arrogant. Find hair in the food. Bill: 900PLN with 90PLN for service, too expensive. Never again

Been punching way below their weight for a long time. Could the food be any worse or the service any more off hand. I remember a superb meal there about 10 years ago, I am afraid it hasn't approached good since then.

My God the decor is fantastic!

I was there few days ago, I can say the decorations are really good the atmoshere of the restaurant is great, BUT the food and price, my good, you can really find not even cheaper but better restaurant in Warsaw..I'm from Polnad and I know that the restaurant service there is not always fair..if you are in a group of a lot of person, you should really carefull read the bill, sometimes they cheat...belive me, I live in Wrasaw and I know a little bit about them....

A decent restaurant with very good service and generally top quality food. I've been several times and never had any complaints at all.

I've got recommendation in Intercontinental to visit this restaurant. They said that the best place to eat in town. And I was disappointed. My food was cold and tasteless. BEWARE!!!!

Good food, not impressed with the wine, service appalling (unless you turn up in a dinner suit, which in the middle of winter is not recommended). On the whole, very snobbish. I've had better, and I'm from Salford (nr Manchester), UK.

Just ate at this resturant recently. Had a really lovely evening with my mum. Both my mum and are vegetarian. We both ordered the vegetable soup to start, which was definately guaranteed by our waitress was not made from meat/fish stock. When soup arrived had great big lump of salmon! after explaining to waitress that I wanted a fresh bowl with no salmon, I got a new bowl, which was delicious - and they hadn't just removed the offending piece of fish and reserved! we both ordered the vegetarian pasta, which was delicious. Wine good. Good evening, surroundings fab! but for better Italian food head to Bacio di Angelo 8 Wilcza St! food amazing! and very reasonable prices!

I would not confer a "superb" rating lightly on any restaurant, but Fukier excels as a total dining package. Every dish I have tried here has been succulent and inventive: the chicken breast with linden honey, the Polish duck...ahhh, Polish duck--can words describe? The veal chops with quail egg are also a pleasant treat. Service is on par with the world's finest restaurants, which is a rarity for Poland. I do believe that other reviewers have overstated the prices. There are many delicious dishes available here at great bargains: the white sausage and game pate come immediately to mind. Alas, bottles of wine do tend to be prohibitively expensive (the legendary LaTour is 2 weeks salary for me--eek!). Luckily, the house wine is quite good and not (too) expensive . The decor at Fukier is unique; a favorite aspect is the parrot by the window (sorry, parrots of the world, for considering you to be decor). For a bit of fun, let it be known that this parrot will become a fearsome beast if you poke a cigarette lighter into its cage (unlit of course). Ah, Fukier. For a true taste of Polish cousine this place is hard to beat in the overall quality of the dining experience it affords. The total bill for one with some glasses of house wine will run between 100-250 PLN based on how frugal are your selections.

If you're going to go to only one restauarant in Warsaw, this is the place to go. Great atmosphere, great food, and it'll show any cynical westerner that Polish dining can match anything they've got. But there are prices to match of course. Best charge it to expenses!
