Restauracja Staromiejska

Situated in the heart of the Old Town opposite the Plac Zamkowy, this restaurant is a favourite among both locals and tourists from around the world. The atmosphere is enhanced not only by the pleasant interior, but also by the amazing view of the Zamek Krolewski (King's Castle) across the way. Delectable Polish cuisine and a superb wine selection - your evening will be most enjoyable here!

We stopped here for a nice meal on a sunny day during our visit few weeks back. My husband was not particularly hungry so he simply ordered pjerogis with meat - very tasty, although there were few on the platter for the price stated. I had a tasty steak dish with green pepper and sides. We lingered a bit longer after the meal to sip our polish beer and marvel at the view - sat right opposite the Royal Castle and the setting sun really made the vibrant colours of the museum pop, especially when compared to the crisp blue sky. The waitstaff was a bit quiet and did not often come to check on us - however when waved over they immediately took care of everything requested.

Great portions, quality food and staff the staff excellent. I'm happy to recommend it.

Actually rather good. Decent portions, pleasant service, lovely view towards the castle on a sunny (but chilly!) autumn day. Very reasonable prices when you compare with what we would pay for this level of dining in the UK. I had an informal business lunch here and can recommend it for this purpose too.

Fabulous food, but I turned up soaking wet and dishevelled during a rainstorm and the staff tried to tell me I couldn't eat there without a reservation (which I thankfully had made), even though it was empty! ie. it's a bit posh and they don't want anyone scruffy eating there!

Very good food indeed. I've been here several times, and always found it really decent indeed.

Not the best meal that i have ever had in A Polish restauraja,but dont let that put you off,certainly worth A try.

It IS posh, but the service and food are excellent!
