Folk Gospoda email

If you like your beer in big mugs and your meals 90% meat, served in a traditional Polish inn where all the furniture is wooden and heavy and everything reminds you of the good old days of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Folk Gospoda is the place for you. The meals are hearty and the beer is always flowing, and to help create the atmosphere of Polish country life, folk music from around the world plays constantly. So if you think you can handle it, order up a "Tyskie for strong men" (that's five litres of Polish ale!) and a pig's knuckle from the stove or a "rustic rollup" and enjoy the folk life!

Folk Gospoda

A group of four of us visited this restaurant and had a fantastic traditional polish meal. The waitresses were dressed in traditional dress and very friendly. There was a band playing polish folk music for the evening.
The food is of the highest quality and the prices are reasonable. Lots of traditional meats such as venison, wild boar and pork are on the menu, and it's all served in a very much farmhouse style.
It is near to the Hilton Hotel, Ibis on Solidarity Street and a short walk from Jan Pawla II.
I will definitely be going back on my next visit to Warsaw.

My wife and I went there in July just after the heat spell broke. Food was GREAT, Almost could not finish it all. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Quality was VERY good. Prices very reasonable. The larger the party you take, the more you can taste. A 'NOT TO MISS' RESTAURANT!!!!

I visited his charming restaurant with my girl-friend after we had read that this was a good place to eat. We arrived for an evening meal and there were only a few customers; after a short while it became very busy. The food, surroundings and service were very good. I liked the huge beer glasses, and the traditional music. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody who wanted to experience authentic Polish cuisine in original and traditional surroundings.

Folk Gospoda is a pretty cool restaurant in Warsaw. They sell beer in giant mugs and five-liter graduated cylinders, plus the food is pretty good and they have live music. The tables are all picnic tables and the decor is common with many other traditional restaurants, in that it's supposed to be like a peasant's house.

Pretty sweet place.

I love polish food and I wanted to try a new restaurant. No disappointment there, traditional polish dishes very well prepared and very tasty.

It was VERY packed the two nights we went. We had no idea we had to make reservations the first time and the hostess at the door was not very pleasant. The waitstaff was good and the food also, however.

Must visit in Poland! Tasty food, great village decorations and friendly atmosphere. My polish relatives took me there and we had pretty nice evening. They told me to try 'oscypek', it's a kind of regional cheese, really good:) Live folk music is plus. I'll visit them again one day.

Main piece of advice for this place. Do not go alone, if you are going to go there must be at least 3 of you, the bigger the group the better ( 24 in ours ). Lots of Beer, Vodka, Singing and dancing ( on the table when i was there )......oh and the foods pretty good too. I can honestly say if you want a great, rowdy night out and want to let your hair down this is the place. Probably one of the best nights out i have had in years.

Great Place for a group! We went on Sunday night with 7-people. 2 Polish guys (twins) were playing guitars & doing a good job on old rock classics.
It has a nice atmosphere, good food & low prices! A couple blocks west of Jana Pavel II from the Holiday Inn. Check it out! I'll be going back next time I'm in Warsaw.
