"One of the most outstanding meals I've ever had. The duck is crispy and succulent, and the room simply beautiful. A MUST for Warsaw dining."

"The photo makes it look like a bad hotel lobby... Like HOliday Inn in the 90s. Is that really what it is like??"

"Really a place to eat in Warsaw! Cuisine - what can I say: I'm not very fond of fish dishes, but man - you gotta try their pike in Dom Polski. Service is very attentive and unobtrusive. Yes - a bit formal envinroment, but that's the way I like it for special occasions. "

"Am passing through Warsaw and had lunch here yesterday. Great sushi - only downside is the size of the venue isn't adequate to number of guests. Was quite crowded!"

Folk Gospoda
reviewed by Polish M'Knob
from United States
on Jun.15.2009

"Folk Gospoda is a pretty cool restaurant in Warsaw. They sell beer in giant mugs and five-liter graduated cylinders, plus the food is pretty good and they have live music. The tables are all picnic tables and the decor is common with many other traditional restaurants, in that it's supposed to be like a peasant's house. Pretty sweet place. http://polishmeknob.blogspot.com"

Restauracja Staromiejska
reviewed by Kerr
from United Kingdom
on Jun.01.2009

"We stopped here for a nice meal on a sunny day during our visit few weeks back. My husband was not particularly hungry so he simply ordered pjerogis with meat - very tasty, although there were few on the platter for the price stated. I had a tasty steak dish with green pepper and sides. We lingered a bit longer after the meal to sip our polish beer and marvel at the view - sat right opposite the Royal Castle and the setting sun really made the vibrant colours of the museum pop, especially when compared to the crisp blue sky. The waitstaff was a bit quiet and did not often come to check on us - however when waved over they immediately took care of everything requested. "
