Zachęta National Gallery of Art

|
The Zacheta Gallery was founded back in 1900, and it's one of the biggest and most prestigious galleries of contemporary art in Poland. A gallery of temporary exhibitions. Famous artists from both Poland and abroad have exhibited in Zacheta's hallowed halls, from Stanislaw Wyspianski to Roy Liechtenstein. Though the interior was damaged, Zacheta was one of the few structures in the city to have emerged from the 2nd World War intact. Zacheta has a huge collection of art, ranging from paintings and sketches to contemporary sculptures. The gallery also organises seminars, meetings with authors and concerts and slide-shows. |
